Corlann Disability Services (BOCSI) is seeking an Enhanced Nurse to join its team in the Gort area of Co. Galway. This is a permanent, full-time post offering an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to quality disability services in the HSE West and North West region.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will work as an Enhanced Nurse within Corlann Disability Services, delivering person-centred nursing care to adults with intellectual disabilities across the Gort area. The post is based within a Section 38 publicly funded organisation operating under HSE governance in the West and North West region.
Key Responsibilities

Core duties will include providing high-quality nursing care in line with An Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann (NMBI) professional standards, supporting individuals with disabilities in achieving their goals, and contributing to multidisciplinary team working across the service.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Current registration with NMBI as a General Nurse (or relevant specialist registration appropriate to the service).
- Relevant post-registration experience in disability, intellectual disability, or a related care setting is desirable.
- Candidates must meet all eligibility requirements as set out in the competition documentation available from the recruiter.
Salary
This post is listed under Grade Code 2135 (Staff Nurse — General). In accordance with HSE Consolidated Pay Scales effective 1 June 2026 (DoH Circular 2/2026), the salary scale for Grade 2135 is:
€38,166 – €56,592 per annum (13 points), plus a Long Service Increment (LSI) applies.
As a Section 38 organisation, Corlann (BOCSI) is required to adhere to HSE Consolidated Pay Scales. Candidates are advised to confirm the applicable grade and salary with the recruiter prior to application, as the advertised job title (Enhanced Nurse) and grade code (2135 — Staff Nurse) do not correspond. Gort, Co. Galway. The post is based within Orchard Services in the Gort area, delivering community-based disability support within the HSE West and North West region.
Contract Type
Permanent Wholetime — 75 hours per fortnight.
