Job Overview
The Advanced Nurse Practitioner CAMHS ADHD Meath role offers an exciting opportunity to join Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) within HSE Dublin and North East. This permanent wholetime position focuses on the assessment, diagnosis and management of children and adolescents presenting with ADHD.
As a Candidate Advanced Nurse Practitioner (Mental Health), you will work at an advanced clinical level, delivering specialist ADHD care while progressing within the ANP framework in line with HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced assessment, diagnosis and management of children and adolescents with ADHD.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions in line with CAMHS and national mental health policies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across North Dublin, Meath, Louth, Cavan and Monaghan.
- Initiate and monitor pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment plans within scope of practice.
- Support service development, audit and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide clinical leadership and mentorship within CAMHS settings.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to professional standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registration as a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse with NMBI.
- Eligibility for registration as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (Candidate) in Mental Health.
- Extensive experience in the assessment, management and care of service users with ADHD.
- Demonstrated advanced clinical decision-making skills.
- Strong communication, leadership and multidisciplinary collaboration abilities.
- Access to transport as the role may involve travel across the region.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
- Salary Scale (Grade 2274 – Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Candidate – Mental Health): €71,432 – €80,671 per annum (February 2026 consolidated HSE pay scales).
