The Assistant Director of Nursing LauraLynn role offers a unique opportunity to provide clinical and strategic leadership within a specialist children’s hospice environment, supporting high standards of compassionate, family-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Director of Nursing in the overall management and leadership of nursing services
• Ensure safe, high-quality, evidence-based nursing care across the service
• Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, and risk management processes
• Lead, mentor, and develop nursing and healthcare staff
• Support workforce planning, rostering, and resource management
• Participate in policy development and service planning initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered Nurse on the NMBI register
• Relevant postgraduate qualification in nursing, management, or leadership (desirable)
• Significant post-registration clinical experience, including leadership at senior nursing level
• Demonstrated experience in clinical governance and quality assurance
• Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
• Experience in paediatric, hospice, or complex care settings is an advantage
