Job Overview
University Hospital Limerick is seeking a Staff Grade Cardiac Physiologist to join its Acute Services team within HSE Mid West. This permanent wholetime role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality cardiology diagnostics and patient care across the Mid West region.
As a Cardiac Physiologist Staff Grade in Limerick, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering essential cardiac investigations and supporting improved patient outcomes in a busy acute hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a range of non-invasive cardiac diagnostic investigations including ECGs, ambulatory monitoring and exercise stress testing.
- Assist in invasive cardiology procedures as required within the cardiology department.
- Operate and maintain specialised cardiac diagnostic equipment.
- Ensure accurate recording, analysis and reporting of diagnostic results.
- Work collaboratively with cardiologists, nursing staff and allied health professionals.
- Maintain high standards of infection control and patient safety.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- BSc in Clinical Measurement Science (Cardiology) or equivalent recognised qualification.
- Eligibility for registration with the relevant professional body where applicable.
- Experience in cardiac diagnostics in an acute hospital setting is desirable.
- Strong technical competence in cardiac physiology procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
