The Care Assistant Disability Services Damien House role offers an excellent opportunity to support individuals with disabilities across Damien House Regional Services within HSE Dublin & South East. These permanent and specified purpose posts are available across multiple locations in Tipperary South and surrounding counties.
This position plays a vital role in delivering person-centred care, supporting residents to live fulfilling lives and actively participate in their individual care plans.
Key Responsibilities
- • Provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents with disabilities.
- • Support residents in daily living activities including personal care and mobility.
- • Assist residents in achieving goals outlined in their individual care plans.
- • Promote independence, dignity and respect in all interactions.
- • Support social, educational and community engagement activities.
- • Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
- • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated care.
- • Drive residents to appointments and community activities as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- • Relevant qualification aligned with Care Assistant (Disability Services) Grade 6482 requirements.
- • Experience working in disability or residential care settings is desirable.
- • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- • A full clean manual driver’s licence is essential.
- • Commitment to person-centred practice and safeguarding principles.

This role is based within Damien House Regional Services, HSE Dublin & South East, covering:
- • Re Nua Our Lady’s Campus, Cashel, Co. Tipperary
- • Damien House (including Sonas and Hillview), Glenconnor Road, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary
- • Avila, Monroe, Fethard, Co. Tipperary
The campaign may also form a panel for current and future vacancies across Carlow, Kilkenny, Tipperary South, Waterford, Wexford, Wicklow and part of South Dublin. An existing panel for Dublin South East will take precedence where applicable.
These posts are part of the Health Service Executive and are open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants.
