We are currently recruiting for a Care Assistant Intellectual Disability Services role within HSE Dublin and North East, covering Dublin North County and Dublin North City & West. This is a permanent, whole-time opportunity supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in community-based and residential settings.

This Care Assistant Intellectual Disability Services position is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and offers long-term job security, structured supports, and the opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide person-centred care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual disabilities
• Promote independence, dignity, and social inclusion
• Support service users with personal care, mobility, and daily routines
• Assist with community participation, activities, and life skills development
• Work collaboratively with nurses, multidisciplinary teams, and families
• Maintain accurate records in line with HSE policies and procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications
• QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support, Nursing Studies, or equivalent
• Experience working in intellectual disability or social care services (desirable)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Understanding of person-centred care principles
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
