Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) is seeking a highly skilled Chief II Respiratory Physiologist to join its Dublin South service. This permanent, whole-time position offers the opportunity to lead and develop specialist paediatric respiratory diagnostics within a dynamic clinical environment. Applicants from both HSE and non-HSE organisations are welcome.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of high-quality paediatric respiratory diagnostics and oversee clinical standards
• Manage day-to-day operations within the respiratory physiology service
• Supervise, mentor and support junior physiologists and students
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance, safety, and national best-practice guidelines
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across CHI locations
• Contribute to service planning, innovation and audit
• Liaise with clinicians, nursing, HSCPs and management to support effective patient pathways

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Respiratory Physiology or equivalent
• Demonstrated senior experience in respiratory diagnostics, ideally in paediatric settings
• Proven leadership and team-management capabilities
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills
• Commitment to patient-centred care and continuous professional development
• Eligibility to work in Ireland and meet all professional accreditation requirements

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

This is a Permanent Wholetime role.
Salary is paid in line with the Respiratory Physiologist – Chief II (Grade Code 3009) consolidated salary scale, as published in national pay frameworks (latest version available via HSE/Department of Health).
