An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Midwife Manager 2 – Bereavement & Pregnancy Loss within the HSE West and North West region. This specialist role is ideal for an experienced midwife with a strong background in pregnancy loss and bereavement care who is passionate about service development, compassionate care, and clinical leadership.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage bereavement and pregnancy loss services in line with national standards
• Provide expert clinical leadership and professional guidance to midwifery staff
• Ensure high-quality, compassionate, and family-centred care
• Support service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across maternity and acute services
• Contribute to education, training, and staff support in bereavement care
• Maintain compliance with HSE policies, clinical governance, and regulatory requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered Midwife on the NMBI Register
• Significant post-registration midwifery experience
• Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience in Pregnancy Loss and Bereavement Care
• Proven leadership and people-management skills
• Strong communication, advocacy, and organisational abilities
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary Scale (Clinical Midwife Manager 2 – Aug 2025): €61,463 – €77,666 per annum (LSI applicable)
