This Clinical Midwife Nurse Manager 2 Kerry role offers an excellent opportunity to provide senior clinical leadership within Ambulatory Gynaecology Services at University Hospital Kerry. Reporting within the HSE South West region, you will play a key role in service delivery, quality improvement, and staff development in women’s health services.

This permanent, whole-time post is ideal for experienced midwives or nurses seeking to progress into a senior management and leadership position within an acute hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide professional and clinical leadership to nursing and midwifery staff
• Manage day-to-day operations of Ambulatory Gynaecology Services
• Ensure high standards of patient care, safety, and governance
• Lead workforce planning, rostering, and staff supervision
• Support service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
• Promote multidisciplinary collaboration across women’s health services
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) as a Midwife or Nurse
• Significant post-registration clinical experience, relevant to gynaecology or women’s health
• Previous leadership or management experience at CNM/CMM level or equivalent
• Strong organisational, communication, and decision-making skills
• Evidence of continuous professional development
• Postgraduate qualification in management or a relevant specialty (desirable)
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary: In line with HSE Clinical Nurse/Midwife Manager 2 pay scale
– €61,463 to €77,666 per annum (August 2025 consolidated scale)
• Contract: Permanent, whole-time
