Cork University Hospital is inviting applications for a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 position based in the Dunmanway Day Unit. This is a 12-month specified purpose contract offering an excellent leadership opportunity within a progressive day services environment. The role is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and is ideal for experienced nurses ready to step into a frontline management role.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage nursing services within the Dunmanway Day Unit
• Coordinate daily clinical operations and patient flow
• Provide clinical supervision, leadership, and support to nursing staff
• Ensure high standards of patient care, safety, and governance
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and audit activities
• Liaise with multidisciplinary teams and senior nursing management
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and professional standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration on the NMBI Register as a General Nurse
• Minimum post-registration experience as per CNM1 criteria
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
• Strong communication, organisational, and decision-making abilities
• Experience in day services or acute/community settings (desirable)
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary Scale (CNM1 – Grade 2127): €56,642 – €66,705 per annum (pro-rata, 1 Aug 2025 rates)
