Galway University Hospitals are seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) to join their medical nursing team. Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff within the medical unit
- Ensure high standards of patient care and safety are consistently maintained
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing team members
- Coordinate patient care activities and manage workflow efficiently
- Assist in staff training, development, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse with active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience in medical nursing
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a clinical setting
- Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Commitment to continuous professional development
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary scale: €57,208 – €67,372 per annum (pro rata for part-time roles), aligned with HSE pay grades.
Multiple contract types available including Permanent and Specified Purpose roles (Part-time and Wholetime).
