The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 ED Dublin position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and coordinate care within the Emergency Department at Children’s Health Ireland. As Shift Leader, you will oversee clinical operations, support nursing teams, and ensure the highest standards of emergency care are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and operational management during allocated shifts in the Emergency Department.
- Ensure delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred emergency nursing care.
- Coordinate staffing resources and skill mix to meet service demands.
- Support, mentor, and supervise nursing staff and healthcare assistants.
- Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, national policies, and local protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient flow and care outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
- Manage incidents, complaints, and risk in line with organisational policy.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse with active registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, with significant experience in Emergency Nursing.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Demonstrated leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
- Salary aligned with the February 2026 Consolidated HSE Pay Scales for Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Grade Code 2119), ranging from €62,078 to €78,443 (LSI applicable).
