???? Overview

Children’s Health Ireland (CHI) invites applications for the role of Clinical Nurse Manager 2 in the Endocrine Bone Health Service at Temple Street. This permanent, full‑time position is proudly advertised as an External (Section 38) vacancy. Both HSE and non‑HSE applicants are welcome.

???? Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a nurse‑led Bone Health Assessment Unit to reduce waiting times for rare bone disorder assessments.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage multi‑disciplinary clinics for conditions such as Osteogenesis Imperfecta and Achondroplasia.
• Manage a clinical caseload and provide advanced clinical leadership within the Endocrine Service.
• Collaborate with Consultants, Research Nurses, allied health professionals, and community teams (GPs, PHNs, schools).
• Supervise and support staff, students, and colleagues in endocrine specialty practice.
• Ensure quality assurance, compliance with NMBI and HIQA standards, risk management, and infection control.
• Promote and deliver family‑centred care and continuous professional development.

???? Essential Requirements

1. NMBI registration – General Division (active annual registration with PSAC).
2. Experience – Minimum 5 years post‑registration, including at least 2 years in acute children’s nursing.
3. Clinical & Managerial Competence – Demonstrated ability in clinical leadership and administration.
4. CPD Evidence – Must show continuing professional development relevant to speciality.
5. Good Health & Character – Fit for duties, with good character.

• Working Week: 37.5 hours (whole‑time).
• Annual Leave: 25–28 days per annum.
• Onboarding: Monthly start dates (Sep15, Oct13, Nov10, Dec15 2025). Mandatory training must be completed at least 7 days beforehand.
