Cork University Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager 2 to take on the role of Interventional Radiology Coordinator. This senior nursing position offers the opportunity to lead and coordinate specialised radiology services, ensuring high-quality patient care and operational efficiency within a dynamic clinical environment. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in advancing interventional radiology services and supporting multidisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the Interventional Radiology service within the hospital
- Ensure delivery of high standards of patient care and safety
- Manage staff allocation, supervision, and performance within the department
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes
- Oversee service planning, development, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance, policies, and regulatory standards
- Support training, mentoring, and professional development of nursing staff
- Contribute to audit, research, and innovation within interventional radiology
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered as a General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Significant post-registration nursing experience, including leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience in radiology or a related specialist clinical area
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage teams and deliver service improvements
- Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary scale for this position ranges from €62,078 to €78,443 (including applicable increments and Long Service Increments). This is a permanent whole-time position within the HSE, offering public sector benefits including pension scheme, annual leave entitlements, and opportunities for ongoing professional development and career progression.
