Mayo University Hospital is seeking a dynamic Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Children’s Respiratory) to lead and enhance specialist paediatric respiratory services. This is a Specified Purpose, wholetime contract within the Health Service Executive (HSE), offering a significant leadership opportunity in a busy acute setting.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate high-quality children’s respiratory nursing services
• Support clinical staff through mentorship, supervision and professional guidance
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, clinical governance and best-practice protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient pathways and outcomes
• Contribute to service improvement initiatives and policy development
• Maintain accurate documentation and oversee clinical audits
• Participate in team planning, rostering and resource allocation
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered General Nurse with current NMBI registration
• Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience in children’s respiratory nursing
• Proven leadership ability within a clinical environment
• Excellent communication, decision-making and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to ongoing professional development

Salary Scale (1 August 2025):
€61,463 – €62,481 – €63,342 – €64,747 – €66,300 – €67,826 – €69,351 – €71,068 – €72,662 – €75,405 – €77,666 LSI
