Job Overview
Sligo/Leitrim Disability Services are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager 2 – Person in Charge to provide strong clinical leadership within community-based disability services. This senior nursing role plays a critical part in ensuring high-quality, person-centred care while meeting all regulatory, governance, and safety standards. A supplementary panel may be formed from this campaign to fill current and future permanent or specified purpose vacancies, full-time or part-time.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as Person in Charge, ensuring compliance with HIQA regulations and HSE policies
• Provide professional leadership and management to nursing and multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care
• Oversee clinical governance, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives
• Manage staffing, rostering, and resource allocation effectively
• Support staff development, supervision, and performance management
• Liaise with service users, families, and relevant stakeholders
• Contribute to strategic planning and service development within Disability Services
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
• Relevant post-registration qualification or equivalent experience appropriate to the role
• Significant post-registration nursing experience, including management experience
• Demonstrated leadership, organisational, and communication skills
• Knowledge of HIQA standards and regulatory requirements for disability services
• Full, clean driving licence is essential
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary in line with HSE Clinical Nurse Manager 2 pay scale
• Point 1: €61,463 rising to €77,666 per annum (including LSI, subject to terms)
