The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Theatre role at Kilcreene Regional Orthopaedic Hospital offers an excellent leadership opportunity within a specialised orthopaedic setting. Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and professional leadership within the theatre and CSSD departments
- Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care in line with HSE standards
- Manage staff performance, rostering, and workforce planning
- Oversee infection prevention and control practices within theatre services
- Support service development and quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance and risk management frameworks
- Coordinate multidisciplinary collaboration across surgical teams
- Contribute to policy development and implementation within the department
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse with active registration on the NMBI register
- Significant post-registration experience in theatre nursing
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience in a clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of perioperative care and CSSD processes
- Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement
- Experience in staff supervision, mentoring, and performance management
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €62,078 – €78,443 (based on HSE Clinical Nurse Manager 2 pay scale)
Permanent wholetime position with standard HSE working hours
