University Hospital Limerick is establishing a supplementary panel for a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Patient Flow) position. This permanent, whole-time post offers a dynamic opportunity to support safe, efficient patient movement across a busy acute hospital within the HSE Mid West region.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate patient flow to optimise bed management and service efficiency
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support timely admissions, transfers and discharges
• Monitor patient flow metrics, identifying delays and implementing solutions
• Provide clinical leadership and ensure adherence to best-practice care standards
• Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to hospital operational planning

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse with NMBI
• Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, including relevant acute experience
• Demonstrated leadership and decision-making ability
• Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills
• Understanding of patient flow principles and hospital operations
• Eligibility to work in the HSE and compliance with all mandatory training requirements

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

HSE CNM2 Salary Scale (1 August 2025): €61,463–€77,666 (11-point scale with LSI)
• Permanent, whole-time contract
