Job Overview
Bantry General Hospital is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Clinical Nurse Manager 3 (CNM3) to lead and support nursing services within the MAUGFU unit. This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to drive clinical excellence, enhance patient care standards, and contribute to service development within a dynamic acute hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and operational management within the MAUGFU unit
- Ensure high standards of patient care, safety, and clinical governance
- Lead, mentor, and support nursing and multidisciplinary teams
- Oversee workforce planning, rostering, and staff development initiatives
- Drive quality improvement and service development projects
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Manage resources effectively to support service delivery
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse with active registration on the NMBI register
- Significant clinical experience with demonstrated leadership at senior nursing level
- Proven management and organisational skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and decision-making abilities
- Experience in service development and quality improvement initiatives
- Relevant postgraduate qualification (desirable)
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary scale: €71,432 – €80,671 per annum (aligned with Clinical Nurse Manager 3 pay scale)
