The Clinical Nurse Manager 3 Waterford opportunity at University Hospital Waterford is a senior leadership role within nursing and midwifery services. As Nurse Planner (Bainisteoir Altra Cliniciúil 3 – Pleanálaí Altra), you will play a critical role in workforce planning, governance, and service development across the hospital.
This permanent whole-time post offers an opportunity to lead strategic nursing initiatives within a busy acute hospital in the HSE Dublin and South East region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead nursing workforce planning and service development initiatives.
- Provide strategic leadership to nursing teams and senior management.
- Support implementation of national HSE policies and clinical governance standards.
- Monitor staffing levels, skill mix, and resource allocation.
- Drive quality improvement and patient safety programmes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery.
- Support audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse with active registration on the NMBI register.
- Significant post-registration clinical experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience at senior level.
- Experience in workforce planning or service development is desirable.
- Strong communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to lead change and deliver strategic objectives.
