About the Role
The HSE West & North West is inviting applications for a Clinical Nurse Manager II (Medical Directorate) at Sligo University Hospital. This permanent, full-time position offers the opportunity to lead clinical nursing teams in a dynamic acute hospital setting focused on delivering high-quality patient care across the Medical Directorate.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and operational leadership to nursing teams.
- Ensure the highest standards of patient safety and evidence-based practice.
- Oversee staff rostering, supervision, and professional development.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
- Contribute to service planning, audits, and quality initiatives.
- Manage resources efficiently within the unit.
- Maintain compliance with HSE policies, standards, and statutory regulations.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Registered Nurse with NMBI in the General Division.
- Minimum 5 years’ post-registration experience.
- Proven management and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Desirable
- Postgraduate qualification in management or clinical specialty.
- Experience in an acute medical or similar hospital environment.
