The Clinical Nurse Manager I (Theatre) role at Merlin Park University Hospital offers an excellent opportunity to take a leadership position within a busy Surgical Hub. This permanent position is ideal for an experienced nurse with specialist theatre expertise who is ready to support high-quality patient care and clinical excellence. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in managing theatre services and ensuring safe, efficient surgical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff within the theatre environment
- Ensure delivery of high standards of patient care and safety
- Coordinate theatre activities and support efficient surgical workflows
- Support staff development, training, and performance management
- Maintain compliance with clinical governance and HSE policies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the Surgical Hub
- Assist in service planning, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Demonstrated experience in theatre or surgical nursing
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a clinical setting
- Strong communication, organisational, and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage workload and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to continuous professional development
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €57,208 – €67,372 per annum (based on HSE pay scale)
Working Hours: Full-time, permanent (wholetime)
