Job Overview
This Clinical Nurse Specialist CAMHS Galway opportunity offers an exciting permanent role within North Galway Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. The successful candidate will provide advanced clinical expertise, leadership, and specialist mental health nursing care to children, adolescents, and their families.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary CAMHS team, you will contribute to high-quality, evidence-based mental health services while supporting service development and clinical excellence across Galway Roscommon Mayo Mental Health Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for children and adolescents within CAMHS.
- Deliver advanced clinical nursing interventions in line with best practice and national guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across health and social care services.
- Act as a clinical expert and resource in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Nursing.
- Support service development, quality improvement initiatives and audit processes.
- Provide leadership, mentorship and education to nursing and healthcare staff.
- Engage with families and carers to ensure person-centred, recovery-focused care.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Be registered in the Psychiatric Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by NMBI.
- Demonstrate significant depth and breadth of Mental Health Nursing experience.
- Have substantial experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Nursing.
- Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to CAMHS.
- Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple professional services.
- Adaptability and commitment to delivering high-quality mental health care.

Salary Scale: €62,078 – €78,443 (LSI applicable)
