Cork University Hospital is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist (Candidate) in Anticoagulation to join its specialist nursing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting anticoagulation services and improving patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist nursing care in anticoagulation management
- Support the assessment, planning, and delivery of patient-centred care
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating anticoagulation therapies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on anticoagulation treatment and safety
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, and service development
- Adhere to HSE policies, procedures, and professional standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Relevant clinical experience in acute hospital or specialist settings
- Interest or experience in anticoagulation therapy is desirable
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to continuous professional development
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €57,208 – €67,372 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent Wholetime
