The Clinical Nurse Specialist Candidate CAMHS Dublin role offers an excellent opportunity to develop advanced specialist skills within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services across Dublin North. Working within the Integrated Health Areas of Dublin North County and Dublin North City & West, the successful candidate will provide high-quality, evidence-based mental health care to children, adolescents, and their families.
This permanent wholetime position supports professional development toward full Clinical Nurse Specialist status while contributing to multidisciplinary mental health service delivery within the HSE.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist mental health nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care within CAMHS.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support children and adolescents experiencing mental health difficulties.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions in line with best practice and national policy.
- Support early intervention and recovery-focused care planning.
- Engage with families and carers to promote positive mental health outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in audit and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in ongoing clinical supervision and structured professional development.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered Psychiatric Nurse or Registered Nurse (Mental Health) with active registration on the appropriate NMBI division.
- Demonstrated experience in child and adolescent mental health services or related mental health settings.
- Strong clinical assessment and risk management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and progression to full Clinical Nurse Specialist status.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
- Salary aligned to HSE Clinical Nurse Specialist Candidate (Mental Health) Grade 2699 pay scale in accordance with February 2026 consolidated public sector pay scales.
