Galway University Hospital is currently seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist Candidate (cCNS) in Sexual Health to join its specialist multidisciplinary team. This is a temporary, whole-time (37.5 hours) position offering an excellent development pathway toward full CNS accreditation within a major acute teaching hospital.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver specialist nursing care in Sexual Health services in line with best practice
• Demonstrate advanced clinical decision-making and patient assessment skills
• Support health promotion, screening, and patient education initiatives
• Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams across GUH
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and data reporting
• Engage in ongoing professional development toward CNS accreditation
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a Nurse with NMBI (General Division)
• Demonstrated depth and breadth of nursing experience in Sexual Health Management
• Commitment to undertaking the Nurse/Midwife Medicinal Products Prescribing Programme within an agreed timeframe
• Strong communication, leadership, and clinical governance skills
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
