This Clinical Nurse Specialist Cork University Hospital role offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in anticoagulation care within a leading acute hospital setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering specialist nursing services, improving patient outcomes, and supporting best practice in anticoagulation management.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist nursing care in anticoagulation management
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care programmes
- Monitor patients receiving anticoagulant therapy and adjust care plans accordingly
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on anticoagulation therapy and safety
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation
- Participate in clinical audit, research, and quality improvement initiatives
- Support training and development of nursing staff
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse with active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Relevant post-registration experience in acute care settings
- Experience or strong interest in anticoagulation therapy
- Demonstrated clinical expertise and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to continuous professional development
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €57,208 – €67,372 per annum
Salary is aligned with the HSE Clinical Nurse Specialist Candidate pay scale and will be based on experience and service.
Working Hours: Permanent Wholetime position
