An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Autoimmune Rheumatic Diseases to join the Rheumatology service at Our Lady’s Hospital Manorhamilton. This role plays a vital part in delivering specialist, patient-centred care for individuals living with complex rheumatological and autoimmune conditions within the HSE West and North West region.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide advanced clinical nursing care to patients with autoimmune and rheumatic diseases
• Support assessment, treatment planning, and long-term disease management
• Deliver patient education, self-management support, and health promotion
• Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary Rheumatology team
• Participate in audit, service development, and evidence-based practice
• Act as a clinical resource and advisor for nursing and medical colleagues
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a Nurse on the NMBI register
• Relevant postgraduate qualification in Rheumatology or related specialty
• Minimum clinical experience as per CNS eligibility criteria
• Demonstrated expertise in autoimmune rheumatic disease management
• Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary in line with HSE Clinical Nurse Specialist (General) Grade 2632 pay scale
• Salary range (Aug 2025 scale): approximately €61,463 – €77,666 per annum, depending on experience and increments
• Public service pension scheme
• Annual leave and sick leave in line with HSE terms and conditions
• Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
