Job Overview
Connolly Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Skills Facilitator – Theatre at Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) level to lead clinical education and skills development within the theatre environment. This senior leadership role supports excellence in perioperative practice, patient safety, and continuous professional development across surgical services.
A panel may be formed to fill permanent and specified-purpose CNM2 Clinical Skills Facilitator roles (full-time or part-time) across relevant specialist areas.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and deliver clinical education programmes within the theatre setting
• Facilitate competency-based training and skills development for nursing staff
• Support implementation of evidence-based perioperative practice
• Act as a clinical resource and mentor for theatre nursing teams
• Promote patient safety, quality improvement, and governance standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery
• Participate in audit, evaluation, and service development initiatives
• Contribute to workforce planning and professional development strategies
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a Nurse on the NMBI Register
• Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, including theatre nursing
• Proven leadership or clinical facilitation experience at senior level
• Excellent communication, teaching, and mentoring skills
• Strong knowledge of perioperative standards and patient safety frameworks
• Postgraduate qualification relevant to education, leadership, or perioperative care (desirable)
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary Scale: Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) – €61,463 to €77,666 (LSI) per annum
• Salary in line with HSE Consolidated Pay Scales (1 August 2025)
