Job Overview
This Clinical Specialist Dietitian role with the HSE Community Neuro-Rehabilitation Team in Wicklow offers a rewarding opportunity to work at an advanced clinical level within a multidisciplinary community service. The post focuses on specialist neuro-rehabilitation care, service development, and quality improvement for adults with complex neurological conditions.
This is a permanent, part-time (0.5 WTE) position based in Block B, Civic Centre, Bray, with scope for future opportunities through a panel.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialist dietetic assessment and intervention within a community neuro-rehabilitation setting
• Deliver evidence-based nutritional care for patients with complex neurological conditions
• Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary neuro-rehabilitation team
• Lead and contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives
• Support clinical governance, audit, and best practice standards
• Provide specialist advice, education, and support to colleagues and stakeholders
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and outcome reporting
Required Skills & Qualifications
• CORU registration as a Dietitian
• Significant post-qualification experience in neuro-rehabilitation or a relevant specialist area
• Demonstrated depth and breadth of specialist clinical expertise
• Evidence of postgraduate training or education in neuro-rehabilitation (desirable)
• Experience in service development, audit, or quality improvement initiatives
• Strong communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary: In line with HSE Clinical Specialist Dietitian (Grade 3715) consolidated pay scales
• Hours: Part-time – 0.5 WTE
