University Hospital Limerick is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (Paediatrics) to join its dynamic nursing leadership team. This permanent, wholetime role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality paediatric care within the HSE Mid West region. The position is part of a supplementary panel (HSEMW31325).

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and support paediatric nursing teams to deliver safe, evidence-based care
• Coordinate daily operations within paediatric services
• Ensure high standards of clinical governance and patient safety
• Mentor, supervise, and develop nursing staff
• Contribute to service improvements and compliance with HSE policies
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient pathways
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reporting
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered General Nurse with NMBI
• Minimum of 3 years’ post-registration experience (paediatrics desirable)
• Demonstrated leadership and team-management capability
• Strong clinical judgement and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to continuous improvement and quality care
• Familiarity with HSE clinical policies and governance frameworks
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary (CNM1 Grade 2127, effective 1 August 2025) • €56,642–€66,705 per annum (8 points)
• Contract: Permanent, wholetime
• Working Pattern: 37 hours per week (typical HSE roster)
