An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join specialist mental health services in Buncrana, Co. Donegal. Key Responsibilities
• Provide consultant-level psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children and adolescents
• Lead and contribute to multidisciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services
• Deliver evidence-based clinical care in line with national standards and best practice
• Participate in service planning, development, and clinical governance
• Supervise and support non-consultant hospital doctors and multidisciplinary colleagues
• Engage with families, carers, and external agencies to ensure integrated care pathways
• Contribute to audit, teaching, training, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Full registration on the Specialist Register (Child and Adolescent Psychiatry) with the Medical Council of Ireland
• Proven consultant-level experience in child and adolescent psychiatry
• Strong leadership, clinical governance, and team collaboration skills
• Excellent communication and decision-making abilities
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
• Desirable: experience in service development and community-based mental health models
