Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality consultant-led geriatric medicine services
• Provide expert clinical leadership within multidisciplinary teams
• Contribute to orthogeriatric and acute medicine pathways
• Participate in service planning, governance, and quality improvement
• Supervise and support NCHDs and trainee doctors
• Engage in teaching, audit, and continuous professional development
• Ensure compliance with HSE clinical governance frameworks
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration on the Specialist Division of the Medical Council of Ireland in Geriatric Medicine (or eligibility for same)
• Fellowship or equivalent postgraduate specialist qualification
• Demonstrated consultant-level experience in geriatric medicine
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
• Commitment to patient-centred, evidence-based care
