This Driver Porter role with Corlann Disability Services offers an opportunity to support individuals in South Connemara through safe and reliable transport services. Working as part of a dedicated care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring clients can access essential services and activities. Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe and timely transportation for clients to appointments, services, and activities
- Assist clients with boarding and exiting vehicles where required
- Ensure vehicles are maintained in a clean and roadworthy condition
- Adhere to all road safety and organisational transport policies
- Support care staff with client-related transport needs
- Maintain accurate transport logs and records
- Report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Full clean driving licence appropriate to the role
- Previous experience in a similar driver or porter role desirable
- Strong awareness of road safety and client care responsibilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary scale: €36,288 – €45,484 (pro rata, based on part-time hours)
Working hours: Permanent Part-Time – 26.5 hours per fortnight
