Key Responsibilities
• Lead and oversee the Services Department at Cork University Hospital
• Drive operational excellence, quality improvement, and service optimisation
• Manage multidisciplinary teams and ensure effective resource allocation
• Support delivery of national and regional HSE priorities
• Implement best-practice standards and compliance across operational functions
• Collaborate with senior hospital leadership to enhance patient pathways
• Participate in governance structures and ensure performance targets are met
• Contribute to long-term strategic planning within the CUH Group
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Proven senior management experience in a complex healthcare environment
• Relevant third-level qualification in management, healthcare, or a related field
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate large, diverse teams
• Strong understanding of HSE systems, structures, policies, and governance
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience managing budgets, operations, and service improvement programmes
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced acute hospital setting
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Grade: General Manager 0041
• Contract: Permanent Wholetime
• Salary: As per current HSE consolidated pay scales (Grade 0041)
