The Health Service Executive (HSE) South West is seeking a General Manager (Grade 0041) to support the Integrated Service Delivery Model across Cork and Kerry. This permanent wholetime role plays a key leadership function within the HSE’s regional structure, supporting effective, people-centred service delivery. This competition is confined to employees of the HSE, TUSLA, Section 38 agencies, and statutory health agencies in accordance with WRC Agreement 161867.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the implementation of the Integrated Service Delivery Model across Cork and Kerry.
• Manage operational performance, service improvement, and resource planning within the region.
• Support Integrated Healthcare Area Managers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Contribute to change management initiatives linked to HSE organisational reform.
• Ensure compliance with national policies, governance structures, and service targets.
• Oversee reporting, stakeholder engagement, and performance metrics for assigned service areas.
• Support innovation, collaboration, and the delivery of person-centred, integrated care.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Eligible applicants must be current employees of the HSE, TUSLA, Section 38 agencies, or statutory health agencies.
• Significant management experience within healthcare, social care, or related public sector environments.
• Proven ability to manage teams, drive service improvements, and implement organisational change.
• Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple service areas and disciplines.
• Knowledge of HSE structures, regional operations, and integrated care pathways.
