Sligo University Hospital is seeking an experienced Grade V ICT Officer to support and enhance ICT systems across the hospital environment. This internal HSE role plays a key part in ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient digital services that underpin patient care and hospital operations.
Table of Contents
This position is offered on a specified purpose, whole-time basis and is open only to eligible HSE and associated public health sector employees.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide operational and technical ICT support within Sligo University Hospital
• Support hospital systems, networks, and clinical applications
• Assist with ICT projects, upgrades, and system implementations
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
• Ensure compliance with HSE ICT policies, data protection, and security standards
• Liaise with clinical, administrative, and technical stakeholders
• Contribute to service improvement and digital transformation initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Eligibility restricted to employees of the HSE, TUSLA, Section 38 agencies, or statutory health agencies
• Relevant ICT qualification or equivalent professional experience
• Experience supporting enterprise ICT systems in a complex organisation
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Knowledge of information security and data governance principles
• Experience in a healthcare ICT environment is desirable
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Grade V salary in line with HSE consolidated pay scales (Clerical/Admin Grade V 0566)
• Salary applied in accordance with Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales effective 1 August 2025
• Specified Purpose, Wholetime contract
