Wexford General Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Graduate Staff Nurse (General) to join its nursing team on a permanent wholetime basis. This is an excellent opportunity for newly qualified nurses to begin their professional career within a supportive acute hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients in accordance with HSE policies and professional standards.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised patient care programmes.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
- Promote a safe, caring and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control standards and hospital guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registration or eligibility for registration as a General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centred care and professional practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Graduate nurses awaiting registration may apply, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €37,788 – €56,032 per annum (as per HSE Staff Nurse General 2135 salary scale, including LSI progression).
Contract Type: Permanent Wholetime
Working Hours: Full-time hours in line with HSE roster requirements, including shift work as applicable.
