The Health Service Executive (HSE) Dublin and Midlands is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to provide strategic financial leadership across acute services within the region. This is a senior leadership opportunity to influence financial governance, service planning, and sustainable healthcare delivery across a large and complex health system.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage regional finance functions across acute services
• Provide strategic financial advice to senior management and clinical leaders
• Oversee budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes
• Ensure compliance with HSE financial policies, governance, and controls
• Support service transformation and value-for-money initiatives
• Manage and develop high-performing finance teams
• Contribute to regional and national financial strategy development
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including the Department of Health
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Significant senior-level financial management experience in a large, complex organisation
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven experience in strategic financial planning and governance
• Strong leadership, people management, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience within the public sector or healthcare environment is highly desirable
• Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making capabilities

• Salary: In line with HSE consolidated salary scales for Head of Function / Service (Grade 0090)
• Contract: Permanent, whole-time
