The focus keyword for this role is Health Care Assistant Cork. St. Finbarr’s Hospital is seeking a dedicated Health Care Assistant to join its Older Persons Services team in Cork. This is a permanent wholetime opportunity within a respected public healthcare setting, supporting high-quality, person-centred care for older adults.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care and support to residents in accordance with care plans.
- Assist with activities of daily living including hygiene, mobility and nutrition.
- Support nursing staff in delivering high standards of patient-centred care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and report changes in residents’ conditions.
- Promote dignity, privacy and independence for all service users.
- Adhere to infection prevention, health and safety, and safeguarding policies.
- Participate in training and ongoing professional development.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support or equivalent.
- Experience working in a healthcare or residential care setting is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, person-centred care.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.

- Salary aligned with HSE Health Care Assistant Grade 6075 pay scale (in line with national public sector agreements).
