Job Overview
Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services is seeking a dedicated Health Care Assistant to join its compassionate care team in Harold’s Cross and Blackrock. This permanent whole-time role offers an opportunity to support patients with dignity and respect in a specialist care environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality personal care to patients in line with best practice standards
- Assist patients with daily living activities including hygiene, mobility, and nutrition
- Support nursing staff in the delivery of clinical care
- Maintain accurate records and report any changes in patient condition
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients
- Promote dignity, privacy, and independence at all times
- Engage with patients and families in a compassionate and respectful manner
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support or equivalent
- Previous experience in a healthcare or caring role is desirable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to delivering high standards of patient care
- Flexibility to work across different shifts as required
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary scale: €36,288 – €45,484 per annum (based on experience and incremental scale).
Permanent wholetime contract with structured working hours.
