Kilcreene Regional Orthopaedic Hospital is seeking dedicated Health Care Assistants (HCA) – Grade 6075 to join its patient-focused team under the Health Service Executive (HSE). This permanent wholetime post forms part of a supplementary campaign (Ref: 25UHW1212), with a panel created to fill current and future vacancies.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver compassionate, safe, and person-centred care
• Assist nursing and multidisciplinary staff with daily patient care activities
• Support mobility, personal care, hygiene, nutrition, and comfort measures
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection prevention procedures
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
• Contribute to a positive, respectful ward culture
• Participate in mandatory training and continuous professional development
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Relevant QQI Level 5 qualification (e.g., Healthcare Support or equivalent)
• Experience in patient or client care desirable but not essential
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to deliver safe, high-quality care in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to HSE values and patient dignity

Grade: Health Care Assistant (6075)
Contract: Permanent, wholetime
Salary: As per HSE Consolidated Pay Scales (effective 1 August 2025).
The HCA (6075) salary scale appears under Patient & Client Care Grades:
• €34,996 – €49,735 per annum (13-point scale)
