Job Overview
The IHA Service Lead (Head of Service) is a senior strategic leadership role within HSE Dublin and South East. You will provide operational and clinical governance leadership across Integrated Healthcare Areas, ensuring high-quality, person-centred services aligned with national health strategies.
This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to shape integrated service delivery across community and acute settings.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic leadership for Integrated Healthcare Area (IHA) services
• Lead service planning, performance management, and quality improvement
• Ensure effective governance, risk management, and compliance with HSE policies
• Drive integration across community, primary care, and acute services
• Manage multidisciplinary teams and senior managers
• Oversee budgetary control and resource optimisation
• Engage with stakeholders, service users, and partner organisations
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Significant senior management experience within health or social care services
• Proven leadership at Head of Service or equivalent senior level
• Strong understanding of integrated care models and community services
• Demonstrated experience in governance, performance, and financial management
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills
• Access to appropriate transport and flexibility in working hours
