Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is seeking an experienced Learning & Development (L&D) Manager to lead and enhance organisational learning strategies across services in Galway and Roscommon. This senior management role plays a critical part in workforce development, quality improvement, and organisational effectiveness within a values-driven disability service provider.
Table of Contents
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of organisational learning and development strategies
• Manage and coordinate training programmes aligned with regulatory, service, and strategic priorities
• Support managers and teams in building leadership, capability, and performance
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and best-practice training requirements
• Oversee learning needs analysis and workforce development planning
• Manage L&D budgets, systems, and reporting requirements
• Collaborate with senior leadership on organisational change and quality initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Relevant third-level qualification in Learning & Development, HR, Education, or related discipline
• Significant experience in a senior L&D, HRD, or organisational development role
• Proven leadership and people management experience
• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and training governance
• Experience within healthcare, disability, or public/voluntary sector desirable
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills

• Salary in line with Grade VII (0582) public sector pay scales (1 August 2025 consolidated scales)
