Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

Perform venepuncture procedures on paediatric patients with precision and care
Ensure accurate patient identification and sample labelling
Maintain high standards of infection prevention and control
Provide reassurance and support to children and their families during procedures
Collaborate with nursing and medical teams to ensure efficient service delivery
Maintain records in line with hospital and HSE guidelines
Ensure equipment is maintained and used safely

Required Skills & Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in paediatric phlebotomy
Relevant qualification in phlebotomy or healthcare support
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively with children in a clinical setting
Knowledge of infection control procedures
Flexibility and ability to work in a team environment

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Salary scale: €38,288 – €50,502 (LSI applicable), in line with HSE pay structures.
