Job Overview
An excellent opportunity is available for Psychiatry Senior House Officers and Registrars to join public teaching hospitals and private hospitals across Ireland for the January 2026 rotation. These roles offer valuable clinical exposure within multidisciplinary mental health teams and provide structured support for career progression in Irish psychiatry services.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality psychiatric assessment and management of patients
• Work collaboratively with consultants and multidisciplinary mental health teams
• Participate in ward rounds, clinics, and on-call rotas as required
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with hospital policies
• Contribute to patient care planning and risk assessment
• Engage in teaching, audit, and continuous professional development activities
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Valid Irish Medical Council General Registration or active application in process
• Passed IELTS (overall band 7, minimum 6.5 in each domain) or OET Grade B overall
• Relevant clinical experience and qualifications in Psychiatry
• Eligibility to work in Ireland (for 2025 roles, no visa requirement due to immediate start dates)
• Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary aligned with HSE consolidated pay scales for SHO and Registrar grades (€68,000 – €81,000 depending on experience)
