Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Advanced Nurse Practitioner (General) – Gastroenterology Nurse Endoscopist at Connolly Hospital Dublin. This senior clinical role offers the chance to practice autonomously within a progressive endoscopy service, delivering expert patient-centred care while contributing to service development and clinical leadership.
A panel may be formed from which permanent and specified purpose, full-time or part-time vacancies may be filled.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide autonomous advanced clinical care within Gastroenterology and Endoscopy
• Perform advanced assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge of patients
• Undertake endoscopic procedures within agreed scope of practice
• Lead and contribute to evidence-based practice, audit, and research
• Provide expert clinical leadership and mentorship to nursing staff
• Collaborate closely with Consultant Gastroenterologists and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in service planning and quality improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered Advanced Nurse Practitioner (General) with NMBI
• Recognised ANP qualification at Level 9 or higher
• Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience in Gastroenterology / Endoscopy
• Competence in advanced clinical decision-making and autonomous practice
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Evidence of continuing professional development and audit/research activity
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary Scale (ANP General – Grade 2267): €71,408 – €88,123 per annum
• Based on HSE consolidated pay scales effective 1 August 2025
• Permanent wholetime post (37.5 hours per week)
