Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive palliative medical care to patients in hospital and community settings.
- Assess, diagnose and manage complex symptom control in patients with life-limiting illness.
- Work collaboratively with consultants, nursing staff and allied health professionals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and care planning discussions.
- Support communication with patients and families regarding treatment goals and care pathways.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with HSE standards.
- Contribute to teaching, clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registration as a medical practitioner with the Irish Medical Council.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
- Relevant postgraduate clinical experience.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in palliative medicine.
- Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
