University Hospital Limerick is seeking a committed Senior Cardiac Physiologist to join its dynamic cardiac diagnostics and acute cardiology team. Table of Contents
Key Responsibilities
• Perform and interpret a wide range of cardiac diagnostic investigations
• Support pacemaker, ICD and device clinics with advanced technical responsibilities
• Conduct exercise stress testing, echocardiography and ambulatory monitoring
• Contribute to the development, audit and evaluation of cardiac services
• Provide supervision, mentorship and training to junior physiologists
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure adherence to HSE standards
• Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Relevant qualification in Cardiac Physiology or equivalent
• Minimum experience at Staff Grade or Senior level (as per HSE requirements)
• Proven competence across core cardiac diagnostic modalities
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team
• Commitment to continued professional development
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
HSE Senior Cardiac Physiologist Salary Scale (1 August 2025)
Grade Code 3003: €54,568 – €71,453 (8 points, incl. LSIs)
• Contract type: Permanent, Wholetime
• Working hours: 35 hours per week (HSE standard)
