Job Overview
Connolly Hospital is seeking a highly motivated Senior Dietitian Dublin professional to join its multidisciplinary team. These roles include a permanent whole-time Senior Dietitian in Surgery and a specified purpose part-time Senior Dietitian post.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality clinical nutrition services within a dynamic acute hospital environment serving Dublin North and the wider HSE Dublin and North East region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced dietetic assessment and intervention for surgical and general patient cohorts
- Lead and support evidence-based nutritional care planning across inpatient services
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes
- Supervise and mentor junior dietitians and student placements
- Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with professional standards
- Contribute to policy development and implementation within the dietetics service
Required Skills & Qualifications
- CORU registration as a Dietitian (or eligibility for registration)
- Significant post-qualification clinical experience, ideally within surgical or acute settings
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €64,551 – €76,007 (aligned to HSE Senior Dietitian Grade 3395 scale, point dependent on experience).
Contract Types:
- 1 Permanent Whole-Time Vacancy – Senior Dietitian (Surgery)
- 1 Specified Purpose Part-Time Vacancy – Senior Dietitian
